Solid growth predicted for scheduled low cost flights within Asia

Asia is expected to witness 5.4 percent more intra-regional scheduled low cost flights this year, compared to 2016. Flights from Southeast Asia will still dominate with a 42.9 percent share of the total frequencies. Northeast Asia is likely to report the largest increase (+6.9%), accounting for a 30.9 percent share. West Asia (+4.0%) and South Asia (+3.9%) are expected to generate more flight frequencies but Central Asia (-2.8%) is forecast to decrease.

Now available: China Outbound-Tourism Price Index Monthly Report



The China Outbound-Tourism Price Index (OPI) is China’s first monthly monitoring system of Chinese outbound tour products and market price to global destinations.

The OPI monthly report is developed with the aim of tracking the price trends of Chinese outbound tourism and reporting the changes of consumer prices on Chinese outbound travel to worldwide destinations. The OPI report will provide DMOs and destination suppliers with useful guidance and intelligence on China outbound tourism market demand, changes of price and structure of outbound tourism products. OPI monthly report is now available for annual subscription (12 editions per annual subscription).
