PATA Young Consumer Travel Survey Goes Live

 

Available in five languages, the 10-minute survey is open to citizens aged 16-35 of the following countries/territories: Australia, China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Macau SAR, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Participants will also have the option to take part in a lucky draw to win an Apple Watch.

Bangalore Welcomes Delegates to PATA Travel Mart 2015  

 

PATA Travel Mart 2015 (PTM2015) officially opened in Bangalore, India on the evening of September 6, 2015, with the official PTM2015 Opening Ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The Mart, generously hosted by the Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, has attracted over 1,000 delegates from 61 destinations.

Mixed Growth Direction for Destinations in Northeast Asia In July 2015

Japan maintained significant growth in international visitor arrivals (+51.0%) in July 2015 while China and Chinese Taipei also reported moderate growth of 2.9 percent and 3.0 percent respectively for the same period. However, Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR and Korea (ROK) reported negative year-on-year growth for the second consecutive month. The SARs of Hong Kong and Macau continued to witness a drop in arrivals from mainland visitors in July 2015 while Korea (ROK) was still dealing with the negative impact of the MERS outbreak.

Tourism Malaysia Participated in PATA Travel Mart 2015
 

Tourism Malaysia participated in the PATA Travel Mart once again this year at the Bangalore International Exhibition Center (BIEC) in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, from 6 to 8 September.

The Malaysian delegation was led by Tourism Malaysia’s Deputy Director-General (International Promotion) Dato’ Haji Azizan Noordin, who was also scheduled to attend the PATA Executive Board Meeting and PATA Board Meeting on 6 September, as one of its board members and Chairman of PATA Malaysia Chapter.

MGTO promoted Macau at the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Travel Mart 2015, this year held in Bangalore, in India, between September 6 to 8. One of the highlights of the event was once again the PATA Gold Awards Lunch and Awards Presentation hosted today (September 8) by MGTO. Ahead of the travel mart, MGTO Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes joined the PATA Executive Board meeting for the first time, after being nominated as a member of the governing body of the association. Read More.
