LCCs boost capacity to Northeast Asia on routes from Singapore and Bangkok

Scheduled seat capacity offered by Low Cost Carriers (LCC) from Southeast Asia to Northeast Asia is expected to reach 3.42 million in 1Q2016 – increase of 898,581 additional seats compared to the same period last year. This increased LCC seat capacity from Singapore and Thailand reflects growing demand for travel to destinations in Northeast Asia. The carriers are expected to add an additional 154,844 seats from Thailand and 579,404 seats from Singapore on routes to Northeast Asia during this first quarter.
