Hey Grace Hills family!
I'm writing this on day #6 of our 21 days of fasting and prayer. I've heard a lot of stories of people giving up food, or shopping, or television, or something else important to them to spend extra time with God. And in response to fasting, God often brings breakthrough!
THE WEATHER AND THIS WEEKEND
Will we get ice? Snow? Just a lot of cold rain? Who knows? Here's how we handle winter weather, though...
We assess road conditions on Saturday evening at dark and early Sunday morning and do one of three things:
WATCH your email, social media, or the local news for updates.
- If it's icy, snowy but manageable, we will consolidate into one single service at 10:00.
- If it's so slick that it's dangerous, we will cancel and I will go live on our Facebook page with a brief message at 10:00.
- If it's just really wet and cold, we will dress warm and as many of us as can will gather for worship.
MOVING BEYOND SHAME AND REGRET
That's what week two of this series is all about, and I believe a LOT of people need to hear this message! If we do have to cancel, I will hold off on this message until the next week because I want to make sure you can get there and bring people with you who need to hear it.
REFLECTING ON ENCOUNTER
This past Wednesday was the launch of our new monthly time of worship called Encounter. It was a very sweet time of prayer and praise. I can't wait for the next one, on February 5!
I'm writing daily devotionals that flow out of each message. If you'd like to get those in your email inbox, you'll need to join that list separately by clicking here.
I really hope to see you Sunday!
