VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR LITERATURE DROP/CANVASSING IN RURAL ALACHUA COUNTY

It is difficult to recruit volunteers to be poll greeters in the rural, outlying areas around Gainesville.  Our poll greeters distribute the valuable information leaflets so voters can vote down-ballot with peace of mind.

Thanks to the Supervisor of Elections, we have information on which voters have registered as Democrats in those outlying areas so volunteers can target them when they go door-to-door,  The Adam Christensen campaign volunteers will begin distributing door-knob bags in rural Alachua County starting Tuesday, Oct. 6.  We can add our leaflets to those bags and we can work together to get out the important information.

It is possible to exercise social-distancing if a masked volunteer wants to knock on the door of an independent voter, step back 6', engage in conversation and offer the information bags. Personal contact is the most effective way of communicating and ensuring the literature will get proper attention. Bags hung on door-knobs without social contact are probably received less warmly.

If this sounds like a volunteer task you'd like to do, please contact Charna Cohn, charna@hotmail.com
or 352-378-9821.  If you prefer to help in another capacity, please contact Carmen Deere, carmddeere@gmail.com.

Make Calls to Get Out the Vote in Gainesville!
