Brave, Sweet, Solid-Minded Thoroughbred Available for Adoption!

Buckeye Cat

Being only 3 years old, Buckeye has a good head on his shoulders, but has the baby wiggle to his gaits right now. Always trying to please, it won’t take him long to learn because he is willing to work hard under saddle. It is rather amazing how well he does considering he only has sight in his left eye. He has adjusted well because he has not had sight in his right eye since he was a baby, if ever, and will occasionally tilt his head a bit to get a better look at something which is rather endearing.

Buckeye Cat is always game to try anything!

Buckeye is so sweet and begs for attention over his stall gate from all who pass by and it is hard to ignore him because he loves attention. He is very respectful to handle for such a young horse and doesn’t like to get in trouble so he tries hard to please. His turn out buddy was recently gelded and Buckeye gets along well with him and enjoys playing with him, so he doesn’t need a quiet horse to guide him around the field as others with limited vision might. Buckeye has no vices and will be suitable for an intermediate level rider, but the rider has to keep in mind that the horse will need a little extra help at times both on the ground and under saddle due to his lack of sight on the right side.
