Thoroughbreds take center stage at the Kentucky Horse Park on Sept. 12.

New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program will host an all-Thoroughbred hunter/jumper show at the Kentucky Horse Park on Saturday, Sept. 12.

Presented in conjunction with The Jockey Club’s Thoroughbred Incentive Program. The one-day event will offer newly retired racehorses, as well as seasoned show horses, a chance to compete at the storied Kentucky Horse Park in both the Rolex Stadium and the Walnut Ring. New Vocations looks forward to welcoming riders to a horse show in a new, spectacular location. Junior/Amateur and Open Hunter Derbies and Junior/Amateur and Open Jumper Stakes classes will be offered in addition to multiple over-fences, flat and pleasure classes.

Similar to the Ohio horse show, this event will raise funds to support the organization’s efforts to rehabilitate, retrain and rehome retired racehorses. In 2014, the program successfully took in over 450 horses at their facilities in Ohio, Kentucky and Pennsylvania. Since its inception, the program has placed nearly 5,500 retired racehorses into carefully screened and monitored homes.
