YSB users can influence energy performance

Science buildings are responsible for approximately half of campus emissions. YSB has been specially designed with an Energy Use Intensity (EUI) Target 50% lower than the average Yale laboratory building. Every system in the building has been assessed for its impact on energy performance but user behavior is critical to success. Learn how to help.

Task force looks at decarbonizing Yale

President Peter Salovey has formed a task force to review and propose new ambitious and transformative goals for Yale’s Climate Action initiative, which is focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions from campus facilities and operations. President Salovey has specifically charged the task force to explore how quickly Yale can achieve net zero carbon emissions.
