It’s that time of the year… time for the infamous Chili Cook Off during the "Soup"er Bowl on February 1st. I am taking a break this year and will not be competing against the Jib Sheet Editor.  Read all the rules here, but basically you need to be able to make a kicking good Chili that knocks the socks off of the tasters and the judges. So, start digging for the best recipe and get ready to ‘Chil’. --RC Neil Bennett

Mark Your Calendars!!
April 24th 2015 will be the date for our annual Youth Fleet Silent Auction night. The event was well attended last year and raised enough funds to fully repair one of the BYC RIB's.
As all boat owners are well aware there is always something else demanding attention and funds. This year we are building our fleet by purchasing lightly used Opti's and Lasers.
These boats will be the foundation for both our advanced learn to sail program and the BYC race team. The race team will be competing at every regatta in the Northwest in 2015 and we are also looking to put a large trailer together so we can haul sail and coach boats to the races.
If you have any items you would like to donate or contacts to a business that might donate product, services or gift certificates please get in touch with me at
Thank you again for your help.  --Trustee Mike Powell

Last week's photo depicted the commercial core of Bellingham, Northumberland, England. The location was correctly identified by Marty Haines, Ken Ford, Mark Harding, Marian Henderson, Al Callery, Gayle Ackerly,  Scott McEniry, Lisa Megard, John Van Haalen, Anne Schoenecker, Jon Seestrom, Quinn Selsor, David New, and Jamie Foti. Lord Bellingham's estate, he for whom our town is named, is a few miles away.
This week we see the grounds of another estate. If you know the location, send your answer to
