BYC – Fiscal 2010 Financial Statements
The final Financial Statements for FY10 are available on our website; the link is below in this story.  Reports include the Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Statement comparison with FY09 and the Actual v. Budget estimates, as well as pie charts summarizing the distribution of income and expenses.
Primarily due to the renovation of the club there was a net asset gain of $247,472, and our equity increased by $33,000. Our Clubhouse mortgage increased by $198,122 to $274,584; our monthly mortgage payments, however, remain about the same as before.  Net income was up by $51,000, this was due to the $41,000 contribution to the Club renovation.  Don’t expect this next year! Here are the Reports.     Dick Grimshaw, Assistant Treasurer

The Annual, Traditional Boat Show Bus Trip is Coming!

It’s time to get your Boat Show Bus reservations in: Great Fun!  The date is Saturday, January 22 leaving at 830 AM sharp from the club, and the return leaves the show at 5:30.   The cost is $45 per person and includes both  the in-the-water and inside shows (you can do both or either, as long as you like during the day). Food and drink is provided both on the way down and the way back, and the big, luxurious eliminates the parking and driving hassle, and if the weather’s bad, the driver deals with it.  Besides, you can have fun meeting new BYC friends!

You must sign up and pay at the bar!  For questions, Jody Erickson can be contacted at and her phone is (360) 223-2119.  Matt Dennis is co-chair. Remember, you must be added to the list and pay at the barSpecial thanks to San Juan Sailing for sponsoring the show tickets!

LAST CHANCE To Get your picture in the Roster!
Roster editor Joe Coons advises us that photos are being added to the roster for Members and their Boats!  Here's what you need to do to get your pictures in the Roster which will be published in January: send a digital image of you (and your partner, if you have one) to  The single image should include both persons if applicable, and be sure the image file name includes the Member's last name! If you have a "head shot", that's perfect...

If you have a boat, you may send another image of it, again being sure that the file name includes the member's name.  A side view of the whole boat is best!  Joe reserves the right to crop images if necessary and they will be converted by him to black and white. He will acknowledge all images received.

The photos are being accepted until next Tuesday, December 21.

We cannot guarantee all images will be published, but he says he will do his best, remembering this is the first year for this effort!  Depending on the number received, we'll have them in the directory or on separate "photo pages".

This should be a great improvement!  Someday, there could be as many as 500 images in our yearbook.  WOW!

Remember to submit your articles to  Deadline is Monday noon.
