Please join us at 5:30 pm for this FREE evening of family-friendly festivities, including arts and crafts, games, workshops, and a special showing of the action-packed movie "Pirates of the Carribean" at dusk. Grab some blankets and lawn chairs, pack up a picnic basket, and come make an evening of it!IMAGE: Pirates of the Carribean

West Bucktown is so very fortunate to have such a wonderful park venue available to the neighborhood for these kinds of fun summertime gatherings. Many thanks to the Chicago Park District and the Maplewood and Lucy Flower Parks Advisory Council (MLFPAC) for giving us yet another opportunity to appreciate and enjoy Maplewood Park to the fullest!

Lucy Flower Brick Orders Close Wednesday

IMAGE: Personalized BricksIf you've been meaning to purchase a personalized brick to support the planned renovation of Lucy Flower Park, but just haven't gotten around to it yet — your procrastination period is almost up! The deadline for ALL brick orders (sorry, no exceptions!) is this Wednesday, July 31. After that, the window of opportunity closes and we push forward with preparing the engraving orders.

Please click here to complete the online brick order form today! You'll be joining the ranks of more than 90 West Bucktown businesses, families, and individuals who have already purchased bricks. We are beyond thrilled with what can only be described as a tremendous show of community support for the renovation project!

Help Needed for Neighborhood Block Party

Can you spare 30 minutes of time to volunteer at the WBNA Block Party on August 18 from 2-6:00 pm? We're looking for folks to help out with set-up and clean-up, manning the grill, assisting with kid's activities, and taking a turn in the dunk tank. Please email communications@westbucktown.org if you'd be willing to help us out.

Not able to volunteer but still want to contribute? We're also looking to stock up our "grab bag" of prizes for the Kiddie Karnival, so any and all donations of small Dollar Store toys, games, stickers, candies, etc. would be greatly appreciated!

But hurry! To be considered, please click here and submit the online application by this Wednesday, July 31. Questions? Email zoning@westbucktown.org.
