Friday, March 17 - after 6:30 pm services

Come for services and stay for a delicious Shabbat dinner, as well as a panel discussion moderated by Ari Ne'eman and Paula Tucker on Accessibility and Inclusion in the Synagogue.

Hamantaschen Baking with Rabbi Seidel

Thursday, March 6 - Three Shifts!

You are invited to bake hamantaschen with Rabbi Seidel!
The hamantaschen will then be served near the end of the Megillah reading Saturday night.
(All bakers can, of course, take a few home).

Rabbi Seidel is an accomplished baker, 
and loves to share his skills with congregants. Come for a relaxed morning or evening of baking, learning, and schmoozing!
Children 5 and older are welcome.
  • 10 am - 12 noon - preparing the dough
  • 6:30 - 8 pm - filling and baking* (childcare available)
  • 8 - 9:30 pm - filling and baking*
* Evening shifts include a light dinner.

Purim Carnival

Sunday, March 12 - 12:00-2:00 pm

Volunteer run -  and fun for the entire family!

Volunteers (aged 11 and older) needed to:
  • set up and break down the carnival
  • run games
  • give prizes
  • help everyone have a great time!
USY and Kadima-aged kids are especially encouraged to help set up at 10:00 am and run games beginning at 12 noon.

We also need a few adult volunteers.

Shabbat Children's Programs


Machar (3rd - 5th Grade) - 10:30 am

Older children begin to take ownership of tefillah, practice taking leadership roles, and learn about the structure of the Shabbat morning service.

Bonim (Kindergarten - 2nd Grade) - 10:30 am

For younger, school age children, Morah Silvia - a master early childhood teacher - offers special tefillot, stories, games and discussions.

Shultime (18 months - PreK) - 10:30 am 

Children sing, play and read stories about Jewish values and special days. Shultime meets on days that we do not have Tot Shabbat (see Tot Shabbat schedule below).
