With Los Angeles Leather Pride on the horizon, the Planning Committee is ramping up planning & preparations, and we have a lot of fun and exciting events and surprises planned for everyone in the community. A new additional will be several cultural art installations around town, bringing together our kink & the arts, more to be released on that as we get closer to LALP 2017.
This year we kick-off the festivities with Mari's Leather Garden Party on 26 Feb 2017 as our Pre-Kick-Off Party at MCC/UCC in the Valley, where we will be "spilling the tea" on this year's LA Leather Pride which is set to commence on 24 March with the CODE: EMERGENCE - The LALP 2017 Gala at Sanctuary Studios LAX on Fri, March 24th and conclude with the L.A. Leather Pride Closing Party and Victory Celebration at Faultline on Sun, April 2nd. With this year’s theme of CODE L.A, you are now a part of the long tapestry of leather history in Los Angeles. We have planned a full calendar of activities celebrating the kinky ties that bind us together. With events around LA County spanning 10 days, you will find something to fit your fancy. If you haven't done so, please visit laleatherpride.com/tickets to get your hands on your ticket packages which are reduced for advance sale currently.

Los Angeles Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence
"Ruining it for Everyone in LA since 1995"
The Los Angeles Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence is a 21st century order of drag nuns whose main purpose as a non-profit organization is to fight stigma as associated with LGBTQAI identities. We are aimed at getting rid of stigmatic guilt as imposed upon us (and our bodies), by others, and through the use of judgment. We feel that within culture it is not only necessary to embrace our diverse selves, but also it is truly beneficial and empowering to celebrate the sort of varied bodies and experiences that we as a community engage. We use laughter, joy, love and kindness as a way to bridge our fierce drag personas with the world, and see this as a means to individual and group empowerment. One motto we share is, “if we can go out being our fabulous selves and looking this way, there is plenty of room in the world for everyone to present their fierce selves as they were meant to be.”
Although we are divided by space based on city-specific houses throughout the world, Sisters work together as a community of international sisters, and especially at events such as upcoming Drag Con here in Los Angeles, where Sisters will travel from all over to attend. The Sisters provide different sorts of functions and service roles at a variety of events, and where most of the funds are donated to organizations and groups who play important functions and services for our shared communities. Three of our upcoming events are the Leather and Lace benefit for AIDS Lifecycle and the LB Leather Community (2/18, The Brit and Mineshaft) where genderfucking and the leather community will intersect undoubtedly, Mardi Gras with the Sisters (2/28, Eagle LA) where I’m sure you can add to your bead collection, and The Sister Act Sing-A-Long (3/4, Hamburger Mary’s LB) where glamour nuns will attempt to sing while really only one of them can probably carry a tune. If you are ever so inclined to, please join us for a chat if you see us in public, let us know if you wish to work with us somehow, want to make a donation to help us organize our archives, or want to plan a fundraiser, please let us know! We are on all social medias!
We believe in freedom of expression, service, teamwork, diversity, social activism, and continued development towards renewing and developing these goals in all ways. We view each other as a family and see our involvement as sisters as significant and as part of our existing and evolving selves, and where this self is firmly located within community, as sisters, as LGBTQAI, and beyond. It is this sort of unity that we share with the leather community, even such overlap, and with an eye on diversity of identity free from stigma we celebrate such a union of identity possibilities!
"Here’s to the femmes such as myself!"
Queering the Youth, Taking Names,
You’re Welcome That I’m Iust so Fabulous!
The LALC would like to acknowledge the LA Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence as on of our more vocal Community Partners, one that has been around since day one, and one that dedicates 90-95% of all funds taken in, to the local community. The LALC would also like to thank the Sisters for representing the diverse LA Community and holding community leaders such as the LALC accountable. You gals are truly fabulous, even though we can't get the glitter out of leather.
On January 17, 2016, the Ms. Los Angeles Leather contest was resurrected after a 17-year-hiatus. Reviving this contest added another layer to the Southern California Leather Community.
Building on last year's success, Ms. LA Leather is honored to kickoff the first weekend of Los Angeles Leather Pride week and officially join our brothers creating one of the largest leather events in the country.
Join us starting Friday, March 24 as Ms. Los Angeles Leather presents the first annual Unity Gala - A Night at the Speakeasy at Sanctuary LAX. It will be an evening of delicious and tempting delights for all of your senses.
During the Gala you have the opportunity to feast your eyes as the Ms. LA Leather, Mr. LA Leather, and the LA Bootblack contestants as they draw their numbers and meet the crowd.
In addition to the contestants in their sexy & sultry best, you will be titilated by none other than the songstress Alotta Boutte' direct from San Francisco. She is a feast for the eyes and ears you won't want to miss.
In case that weren't enough the evening will be filled with delectible serving bois and girls offering you temping treats and noteworthy cigars.
Finally, Speakeasy themed activities and decor will pay homage to the roots of our community gatherings with secretive back rooms that if you're lucky you may be invited into.
Dresscode will be Leather, fetish, formal attire, or 1920's themed apparel.
The weekend continues Saturday, March 25 with the Ms. LA Leather Contest also being held at Sanctuary LAX, followed by CONVERGENCE, Sunday, March 26 at the Bullet Bar.
