Poll Everywhere Newsletter: August 2021

The 2021 - 2022 school year is here! For the first time in over a year, this back to school season will see the highest volume of students returning to the classroom. As excited as we all are to meet in person again, the slow COVID-19 vaccine roll outs for children under 12 years old and other health and safety concerns may limit the number of students actually going back to in-person learning. With this in mind, educators will need to adapt to a new model of learning: hybrid or “HyFlex learning.”

What is hybrid and HyFlex learning? According to Columbia University:

  • Hybrid learning is when all students experience the same combination of online and in-person activities.

  • HyFlex learning is when students can choose their preferred balance of learning between in-person and online.

No matter what your classroom setting looks like, Poll Everywhere integrates seamlessly to your lesson plans however you need it to. Even in the middle of a huge transition, it's one less thing for educators, students, and admins to worry about. We’re excited to share our 2021-2022 back-to-school resource hub: a one-stop-shop for guides, how-to’s, checklists, helpful blogs, tips and tricks, and more!

“When I used Poll Everywhere in class, I would have very high response rates…. I would just write the website on the board and students seemed to be comfortable using it. Nobody got stuck or confused.”
