World Team Interview Update - Continue Praying!

World Team Interview Update - Continue Praying!

Thank you so much for praying for us! We felt so covered in prayer during the interview time at World Team on Friday! We just got back to the greater Boston area, and back to a computer. Overall we felt that things went very well. See below for more details.

We arrived at the World Team facility in Warrington, PA (north suburb of Philadelphia, PA) just after 11am. We were given a tour around the facility and introduced to many of the team members. There are about 20 FT and 4 PT staff in the office. After the tour we were taken out to lunch by the Search Task Force. This group consisted of Sr. World Team leaders and three of their U.S. board members. We got to know each other over lunch and everyone seemed so nice and open and real!

After lunch we headed back to the World Team office for a time of conversation/interview with the search committee until about 3pm. It was a good time of back and forth conversation where we got to hear where the U.S office was at and where it was going. Both the good and the bad, challenges and opportunities. At 3pm we took a little break and then sat with the current interim director, head of operations, and head of resources to hear more details about the day to day operations and how things actually worked. We wrapped up shortly after 5pm with loads of info. We took lots of notes and had a lot to chew on, but felt very encouraged by the dynamic interactions and the high caliber staff at World Team.

All in all it was a great process and time of learning. Right now I am one of three candidates they are interviewing. Sometime mid September I will find out if I am moving forward in the process, and then at the end of September the U.S. Board actually votes on the recommended candidate and decides whether to hire that candidate or not. So keep us and World Team in your prayers that we all clearly understand the Lord's leading.
