I'M. SO. FANCY...Introducing my new e-newsletter!

Hi all! Thank you for your patience as I figured out what went wrong with my old e-blast system--it broke down to an irreparable state. So, what better time than now to kick off a pretty lil' e-newsletter? I have been thinking about it for awhile--just before baby Stella was born one year ago. Thank you to long-time weekly subscribers. You will still receive the same great content from my blog delivered straight to your inbox. Now the emails will arrive with mouthwatering images, food musings about this and that, and anything else we want to talk about.

In Season: As berry quality starts to diminish this time of year, brighten up your routine with crisp apples and poppy grapes. I love tossing grapes into my salads. And its apples galore at snack time. One of my favorite combos: sliced apples dipped in chocolate hazelnut butter and sprinkled with sunflower seeds.
Cooking from the Hip Tip: Got chicken? Recently I had some boneless skinless thighs in the freezer and needed dinner quick for the kickoff of Monday night football. I marinated the chicken for a few hours in Bragg's apple cider vinegar, salt-free all-purpose seasoning (a lot of it!) and rice bran oil (canola is fine). Right before grilling I drenched them in Texas Pete Buffalo sauce, and sprinkled them with salt and pepper. Then grilled them for a few minutes on each side on medium heat. SO good.
