Completed: a large composed landscape collage commissioned for the Adolph Coors Foundation's elegantly rustic office space, located in Denver's Cherry Creek North area. Measuring 60" x 40," it's a big piece with high visibility. Installed at the end of a hallway, the collage needs to read well from a distance and up close -- a requirement that was particularly challenging to assess in the studio. I'll have photos of the framed piece, in situ, to post online soon. I'm delighted to be included in the Coors Family Foundation Art Collection.

Artist Linda Armantrout invited me to be part of a collaborative art + poetry project so... I recently made a collage based on a poem, then a poet used my work as inspiration for a new poem, and so it went: eight artists, eight poets. The hotly-anticipated unveiling of the art and poetry created via this process will happen at "Image and Word: Art and Poetry in Conversation" on August 16th at 7pm at the Louisville Center for the Arts in Louisville, Colorado… You're invited! Tickets are $12 and should be purchased in advance here. Click on the invite image for more details.
SERENDIPITY… I'm one of those people who can see faces in most everything: clouds, the woodgrain of doors, plumbing fixtures, you name it! This compulsion means small, whimsical characters sometimes appear from my collected paper piles. If he/she speaks to you, this little guy is available for sale here.

Reading... I found Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan at the house we rented this summer on the Oregon coast. It's a fun novel, and surprisingly thought provoking, with story lines that contrast the use of digital versus analog technologies as they relate to books, typography and life.

Speaking of technology, I continue to love the Flipboard app for my iPad (now available for most devices). After set up, it automatically puts all my news/interest feeds and social media into a well-designed, highly visual format. The end result appears like a self-curated magazine, updated and different every time I return to it. Check it out if you haven't already.

Thanks for your ongoing support of my artistic pursuits! Revel in the rest of the summer time...
