Dear Port Fairy Folk Festival Friend,

2020 was Caroline Moore’s Festival finale. She programmed four wonderful festivals, and we thank her for her commitment to the festival and the community during her tenure. She is leaving us to work on projects for Geelong Regional Library Corporation and her own creative productions.  
Port Fairy Folk Festival Committee Inc. is calling for Expressions of Interest for the position of Program Director.

The Port Fairy Folk Festival is a world renowned event conducted in March each year. The role of the Program Director is to provide the creative lead for the Festival. The position will report to the Committee of Management and will be responsible for the development of the artistic program and assist in the management, marketing, publicity, projects and planning of the event.

The position will be on a contract basis with terms and remuneration to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Interested applicants should in the first instance, contact the Port Fairy Folk Festival Secretary by email to obtain a Position Description and/or other information the applicant may require.

Applications should include a cover letter addressing the selection criteria, current CV and a one-page statement of what you will bring to the role, and why you feel you are a good match for the Port Fairy Folk Festival, together with the names and details of three (3) referees and be submitted  by email to or addressed to –
