Dear Port Fairy Folk Festival Friend,
Well, what a festival we had. Thank you all for being a part of it! Our artists, our audience, our crew and wonderful volunteers make this festival so special. There were true favourites and great discoveries this year, and we thank all of you who took the time to give us feedback, which we will incorporate in our planning for 2020.
A key initiative this year was to reduce our festival waste and improve recycling. We set a target of 70% of all waste being recycled, and we nearly got there reaching 63%. We decreased our landfill waste to 8.83 tonnes which was a 51% decrease on 2018, introduced organic recycling and worked hard to improve general recycling. We thank all of you for your support, and we would like to thank Wannon Water, who worked with us and enabled for fabulous drinking water to be on tap so that we can work towards the elimination of single use water bottles. We also trialled reusable cups in the Speakeasy Bar and we are already working on further developing this for throughout the festival arena.
Amidst all the fun and glories of the festival some of you may have lost something… a cardigan, a pair of specs, some jewellery or a hat … the list is long. If you did lose something please contact the Port Fairy office email@example.com

As they say in the classics there is no rest for the wicked and we are working away for 2020. Performer applications will open on 15 April at 9:00am and close at midnight on 31 May. MC and Stage Manager applications will open on 1 May at 9:00am and close at midnight 21 June. Friends of the Festival, Food and Craft Stall Applications will open in September.
We would like to congratulate the Pat Glover Storytelling competition winner Gordon Phillips-Ross, winner of the Busking Competition Evie Mae and FReeZA Youth Showcase award winner Kessia Brooke. Evie & Kessia will both be performing at PFFF 2020.
