Dear Port Fairy Folk Festival Friend,

The Festival would like to congratulate Patricia ‘Little Pattie’ Amphlett, Reneé Geyer and Margret RoadKnight for being joint recipients of the inaugural AWMA Lifetime Achievement Award. The contributions these artists have made to the industry and the joy they have brought their audiences over the years is extraordinary.

We feel blessed that we have performing in 2019 two of these magnificent artists, Reneé Geyer and Margret RoadKnight, who will not only perform stellar concerts but be a part of special events. Reneé will join STARS on Saturday afternoon to take many of us on a trip down memory lane to that great Andrew Durant Memorial Concert, and for the younger generation introduce you to extraordinary Australian music that is in short, timeless. Margret will join a stellar international cast for the Fairy Tale Of Port Fairy, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Woodstock.

Next week we will be announcing the line up for the 2019 Women Out Loud concert. Ever since it’s inception, under the leadership of Jamie McKew, Port Fairy Folk Festival has truly celebrated and showcased the great talent of women in music… Let the journey continue of celebrating established artists and discovering the new.

Early Bird Tickets on sale now.

Warmest regards,

The Program Team. x
