Dear Port Fairy Folk Festival Friend,

The 2018 writers program is shaping up to be a real treat as always. From traditions such as The Pat Glover Story Telling Award, to intimate readings and 'in conversation' sessions with Troy Cassar-Daley, Jackie Kerin & Sarah Depasquale, Melanie Hall & Suzie Carcery and of course a book launch by our prolific and much loved writers program captain, Jim Haynes, where he will certainly delight all with the launch of his latest book 'Australia’s Greatest Scams & Cons'. From the Poets Breakfast to the Aussie Morning Show, for all folk wordsmiths it will be a treat. The Aussie Morning Show has found a new home in the Pavilion and we are pleased to once again be working with Blarney Books & Art to launch Di Jackson’s 'Chooks In Dinner Suits,' present the Viragoes of Verse with Melanie Hall & Suzie Carcery and readings of 'Phar Lap The Wonder Horse'  and 'Lyrebird!' from author Jackie Kerin.

In 2018 we are excited to be exhibiting the work of Jeff Raglus and unveiling the 2019 Festival image. This will take place at Blarney Books and Art and will also feature a performance by Victoriana Gaye, followed by a meet the artist session. In 2018 once again music and art will encompass Port Fairy. Early Bird Tickets on sale until midnight 8 December. More visual arts programs and delightful surprises will follow.

Warmest regards,

The Program Team x
