Dear Port Fairy Folk Festival Friend,

The wealth of talent in South West Victoria is nothing short of outstanding, in both established and emerging artists. For the past 10 years the Festival has invested in delivering an outstanding music in schools program. Two alumni of this program are Didirri and Cooper Lower, and we are so pleased that they are able to join the 2019 Festival program, as they are on the trajectory, gaining critical and popular acclaim on a national and international level.

The past 12 months has seen Didirri mesmerise and enchant crowds throughout the country, blowing audiences away at BIGSOUND, and receiving accolade upon accolade from Triple J. He is currently taking on the UK, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, and then taking on North America before he comes home to gorgeous South West Victoria and Port Fairy in 2019.

Cooper Lower has a true troubadour’s soul and has just finished touring North America where he sprinkled the magic dust of our region, impressing audiences and media alike with his soaring vocals and poetic songs.

Both of these talented and wonderful musicians are testimony to the creative spirit and talent which thrives in our region.

In 2019 we will present for the 10th consecutive year the 'Songs In The Schools' program led by Tom Richardson, which will culminate in a showcase concert on Sunday at the Railway Stage. This program is proudly supported by APRA/AMCOS.

Early Bird Tickets on sale now.

Warmest regards,

The Program Team. x
