A big May hello to our beloved Folkie Family!
So much is going on in our festival world - we hope you're all doing well as winter begins to hit in the Southern Hemisphere!
While there are still over 300 days to our 2022 festival, the team are full steam ahead working on booking, planning and developing our return. We can't wait to see you all back next March. Make sure you get your tickets now - early birds have almost flown north for the winter, so save a few dollars and get your tickets right now
There is lots going on in and around Port Fairy, so let's get on with the news....
An Evening With The East Pointers - Live at The Harvest Home Festival
Just days after they played the Port Fairy Folk Festival in March 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic forced The East Pointers
to postpone and cancel 18 months of touring to support their new album, "Yours To Break". Not ones to let a bad situation determine their fate, in October 2020 The East Pointers launched the first annual Harvest Home Festival in Prince Edward Island, Canada.
“An Evening with The East Pointers - Live at the Harvest Home Festival” is a digital concert experience filmed at the festival and featuring behind the scenes conversations with the band about their roots, music, and what the future holds for the band.
On Sunday May 23, the Port Fairy Folk Festival presents “An Evening with The East Pointers - Live at the Harvest Home Festival”. Tickets on sale May 11 at www.EastPointers.ca
Help shape our Kids Program for 2022
We love to see so many families get down to our festival each and every year. We know the importance of keeping the kids happy and that a great festival for kids means a great festival for everyone. We'd love to hear from our folkie family about this area of programming as we get everything ready for our return!
What do you (and your kids!) want in 2022? More face painters? Less face painters? More kids music? More activities? Now's your chance to tell us what you want to see in 2022.
Simply email your suggestions to email@example.com
and we'll do our best to make it happen!
Shoelace Sessions Return in 2021
During our March Concert Series, we pulled a few artists aside, set them up in some lovely locations around Port Fairy and in conjunction with our creative partners Shoelace Creative
, asked them to play a Shoelace Session for us.
We've got some great performances to share with you, and first cab off the rank are the gorgeous Charm of Finches
. Check out their performance of "Where Do The Ducks Go?" on our YouTube
channel right now!
Mandolin Orange are now Watchhouse
They may have changed their name but they have not changed their plans to travel from the USA to Port Fairy in 2022!
Mandolin Orange are now known as Watchhouse
- the name comes from a memory, a place where the artists spent memorable, secluded and meditative time as teenagers.
We can't wait to hear and see Watchhouse play in Port Fairy in March.
