Hello Neighbours,
Bayview Cummer Neighbourhood Association (BCNA) is hosting another event this week with respect to the upcoming Federal election. WILLOWDALE ALL CANDIDATES DEBATE

This is an opportunity to ask all of the candidates what their position is on the modular housing proposal at 175 Cummer (Willowdale Manor). Where do they stand on the matter: Are they supportive or opposed? 
 


A PICNIC IN THE PARK

BCNA also held a summer picnic on the parklands of Willowdale Manor (175 Cummer Ave) Sunday afternoon.  It was great to see so many seniors and neighbours turn up to say hello to their fellow community members in-person! Community members enoyed delicious food, snacks and beverages and good conversation was held by all. It was lovely to see so many smiles and friendly faces especially after such a challenging 1.5 years with so many months of lockdown. Also special to see young student volunteers helping to serve the snacks and drinks in a respectful and responsible manner. Thank you to the numerous volunteers from BCNA, Silverview Community Association and Voices of Willowdale who came out to help and make this possible. Fantastic Willowdale! This is what community is all about. 

 

HOW ELSE CAN I HELP?
Please take time to CONTINUE SENDING LETTERS TO THE POLITICIANS.

You can write as many and as often as you like....  as it continues to remind the politicians at ALL LEVELS of what is happening in Willowdale. Use the easy-write letter feature on our website (it takes 30 seconds, click here) or draft your own letter and address to the emails on the website; if you’re writing your own letter please cc:  info@voicesofwillowdale.ca so we can keep track of how many letters have been sent.

Other ways that you can help:
  • Request a  lawn sign
  • Sign the online petition
  • Sign up to stay connected with us
  • Share the newsletters 
  • Make a donation
  • and most importantly speak to your neighbours and make sure they know what’s happening in their community so they too can do the above steps.
