As you probably have heard, The Hive has been working for Thirty Seconds to Mars to help promote the release of the album This Is War and the Into The Wild World Tour. Well, now is your chance to be a part of the team working every day to bring MARS to the attention world. The Hive will be accepting requests for volunteers interested in working on projects and assisting with tasks around the world!

Book of the Week
Franny And Zooey is author J.D. Salinger's third book, published in 1961, its two parts having originally appeared as a short story and a novella in The New Yorker in 1955 and 1957, respectively. Franny and Zooey, a sister and brother both in their twenties, are the two youngest members of the Glass family, which was a frequent focus of Salinger's writings. The action of both parts takes place over a long weekend in November 1955.
Movie of the Week
Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire is a film that takes place in 1987. Obese and illiterate, 16-year-old Claireece "Precious" Jones lives in the ghetto of Harlem with her dysfunctional and abusive mother, Mary. Suffering long term physical, sexual, and mental abuse from her unemployed mother, the family resides in a Section 8 tenement and subsists on welfare, leaving Precious to find resolve to improve her life.
Album of the Week
The Clash - London Calling is the third album by English punk rock band, originally released 1979. The album represented a change in The Clash's musical style, and featured elements of ska, pop, soul, jazz, rockabilly and reggae more prominently than in their previously released music. The album's subject matter included unemployment, racial conflict, drug use, and the responsibilities of adulthood.
