We Wish You Happy Holidays!

We celebrated our 54th anniversary on 15th December at our annual Community Night. Thank you all who joined us at this joyous occasion and to all of our supporters. You may check out the album on our Facebook for pictures from the night!

As the pandemic wears on, 2022 continues to be a year of constant flux. 2022 was a year filled with many highlights, and they all form part of the memories that we will carry with us for a long time.

Coming Up in 2023

A variety of workshops and courses from SBC Academy coming this 2023!

From our annual Introduction to Storytelling and Literary Translation workshops to new courses like writing and illustrating picture books and a deep dive into the world of crime writing, these programmes are suitable for beginner to advanced writers.

The SBC Emerging Writers and Translators Mentorships will also be rolled out in January 2023. If you are just starting out as a writer or translator, you are welcome to apply.

Calling All Illustrators!

The call starts 27 December!

The Book Illustrators Gallery returns in a digital and physical format for its 2023 edition and we would like to see your works. 

The call for submissions will launch in the last week of December. All creators with published illustrations in children’s content (i.e. books, magazines, comics and graphic novels etc.) are welcome to submit your works for consideration
