We're just a month away from the Asian Festival of Children's Content (AFCC) 2020. Make sure you have your tickets already!
With close to 15 panel sessions, masterclasses and pitching sessions, AFCC 2020 will feature more than 40 local and international speakers, including established academics like Dr Junko Yokota, head jury of the Hans Christian Andersen Award; award-winning poets like Naomi Shihab Nye (Young People's Poet Laureate 2019-2021) and Mariko Nagai (two-time Pushcart Prize winner); and well-known content creators like Minh Lê (writer and graphic novelist of Green Lantern: Legacy), and Tohby Riddle (multi-awarded picture book creator). The festival also features key figures in the media content and literary industry such as Dexter Ong, Head of Wattpad Studios (Asia); Aman Dayal from Youtube Kids; and Peter Florence, Director and Founder of the Hay Festival, among others. The speakers will share about their experiences and efforts in responding to the pandemic.
Designed with authors, illustrators, parents, publishers and teachers in mind, AFCC 2020 invites participants to envision a world filled with possibilities in the digital space, even in the face of so many disruptions and much uncertainty now, together with our panel of international experts on children's content.
