Authors and translators interested in literary translation, don't miss this opportunity to sign up for our Introduction to Literary Translation workshop!

In this workshop conducted by Shelly Bryant, a renowned translator, poet and writer. you will about learn about strategies in the translation process, maintaining the voice and tone of text, and working in the industry.

Shelly has translated works from Chinese to English for Penguin Books, Epigram Publishing, the National Library Board, to name a few. Her translation of Sheng Keyi's Northern Girls was long-listed for the Man Asian Literary Prize in 2012, and her translation of You Jin's In Time, Out of Place was shortlisted for the Singapore Literature Prize in 2016.

Safe Space Stories

Safe Space Stories fosters a space for group writing in which all voices are equally heard and appreciated. It is a safe space to encourage creativity in writing, freedom from criticism, and affirmation of everyone’s voice.

This workshop is conducted by Paul Rozario-Falcone, a licensed facilitator for the Amherst Writers and Artists method, which builds a supportive, affirming group writing practice. He is based in Brooklyn, New York and Singapore.
