Poetic Hearts, Lingering Shadows Exhibition
《诗心牵影》是为庆祝新加坡书籍理事会于2018成立50周年而特别出版。理事会也为配合新加坡开埠200周年 , 从4月28日至5月5日于新加坡华族文化中心举办郑林林画家与诗人成君的首次合作的作品展览。入场免费。

Poetic Hearts, Lingering Shadows marks the 50th anniversary of the Singapore Book Council in 2018, in conjunction with the Singapore bicentennial. There will be an exhibition of ink paintings by Zheng Lin Lin and poetry by Cheng Jun at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre from April 28 to May 5. Admission to the exhibit is free.

The Art of the Eye: Haiku and Photo-Haiga

This workshop is for those who wish to explore haiku writing (one breath poetry) and smart phone photography. Haiku writing is a kind of snapshot in words, whereas traditional haiga is the art of painting that incorporates a haiku poem.

This workshop is conducted by noted poet and educator Chris Mooney Singh.

Introduction to Storytelling I & II

If you are interested in storytelling, but don’t know where to start, these workshops are for you. In two 7-hour modules of hands-on training, you will gain a firm grounding in storytelling skills. You will leave with one ready to tell story and the tools and confidence to learn and tell more stories.

Young Authors Scheme

You are never too young to write a book. Children get to learn to write their very own 3,000-word storybooks and improve descriptive and vocabulary skills.

This workshop is conducted by highly experienced author, educator, editor and publisher Catherine Khoo.

Introduction to Literary Translation
with Shelly Bryant

The course will cover questions related to the process of literary translation, in three main parts: The Making of a Literary Translation, Translating Difficulties and The Making of the Translator.
