School's out—learn something different and try your hand at writing speculative fiction! Uncover unique ways of approaching writing to expand your creativity. Speculative fiction writer Victor Fernando R. Ocampo, who is an award-winning author of the Romeo Forbes Children’s Story Award and a shortlisted writer for the International Rubery Book Award will be leading this workshop. This workshop is most recommended for budding writers aged 13 to 16.

Get to know more about four-time Singapore Literature Prize (SLP) winner 谢裕民 (Chia Joo Ming) and his book, 《建国》(Kian Kok) which won SLP’s Fiction in Chinese this year! Mingle and interact with the author himself in this casual book club session by NLB Chinese Library Services. Club members comprising retirees and housewives will also be giving a sharing, and the session will wrap up with a Q&A. This session will be conducted in Mandarin.

SERVANTS is a work-in-progress presentation inspired and adapted from the French classic The Maids by Jean Genet. GroundZ-0 原。空間 presents their local take on the story where two servants are under oppression for a long time. Find out how they saved themselves while suffering mentally by catching their live performance! There will be a post-show dialogue on Zoom after the livestream. This performance will be in English, Bahasa Indonesia and Punjabi.

Wrap up your year with this special programme commissioned by #BuySingLit and presented by 24OWLS! Immerse yourself in the ambience of Pasir Panjang Power Station as it is transformed into a cocoon of the imagination for four poets and two illustators. Six artists will contribute their own to a collective piece. You can take part in this site-specific response project and wander through the spaces while taking in sensual triggers. More details will be released shortly!
