Did you know WeCAN is run on 100% volunteer power? That being said, we're ready for a summer break! WeCAN will not be holding General Meetings in June or July. We'll return August 14.

West Colfax Clean-up Day Success;
Thank You Volunteers!
A huge THANK YOU to all our neighbors that came out of our annual spring West Colfax Clean-up Day! It may have been a bit wet, but we got alleys cleaned, Nettie Moore Park cleaned up, helped with two exterior home projects, and cleaned up the Cheltenham Elementary garden! Way to go neighbors!

National Get Outdoors Day - June 9th at Sloan's Lake Park

The annual National Get Outdoors Day encourages healthy, active outdoor fun at sites across the nation. Get Outdoors Colorado is Saturday, June 9, 10:00am-3:00pm on the north shore of Sloan's Lake Park. This is a fun and FREE interactive event for everyone in the family; fish, bike, jump, garden, climb, paint, build, paddle, learn, dance, jump, eat, explore, and play!

Celebrate Rodolfo "Corky" Gonzales's Birthday at the Library, June 16th

Our West Colfax Library is named after Rodolfo “Corky” Gonzales (1928 - 2005), a Denver Native and nationally recognized leader in the civil rights movement who advocated for the education, economic and political equality of the Latino community in Denver.
Join the Rodolfo “Corky” Gonzales library for a guided tour of the library, an exhibit, and a special guest's presentation. Light refreshments will be provided. Kid friendly.
