Association of Neighbors(WeCAN) 
is the Registered Neighborhood Organization (RNO) for the neighbors who live, work, or own property in the West Colfax neighborhood.
WeCAN meets the second Tuesday of every month, 6:00pm, in the main hall of the Confluence Ministries building, 1400 Quitman Street.

October 8 General Meeting
 
WeCAN meets the second Tuesday of every month (January-May, August-November), 6:00-7:00pm in the Main Hall of the Confluence Ministries Building at 1400 Quitman St. Here is a glimpse at this month's General Meeting.
6:00pm: Denver Police District 1 Community Resource Officer Rob Gibbs and the Northwest Denver Public Safety Resource Center begins our meetings by sharing recent crime statistics, crime prevention tips, and is available to answer all your questions and concerns.
6:10:  Help WeCAN prepare for the West Area Plan! The West Area Plan is currently creating a vision for the neighborhoods of Barnum, Barnum West, Sun Valley, Valverde, Villa Park and West Colfax.
  • Eugene Howard, Denver Senior City Planner will provide background
  • Megan Yonke, WeCAN Vice President will provide a de-brief of the West Area Plan kick-off meeting from October 5th
  • How can WeCAN get involved in the West Area Plan? Come be a part of the WeCAN Steering Committee!

Extreme Community Makeover (ECM) is once again coming to West Colfax and WeCAN will have a crew to help beautify our neighborhood and the Lakewood Gulch.

Fall Family Fun Run

WeCAN is teaming up with Little Man Ice Cream Factory for a Fall Family Fun Run!
 

          

When: Wednesday, October 30
Time: 6:00 PM
Where: Little Man Ice Cream Factory,
441 W. Colfax Ave.

What: Run 1 mile in Sloan's Lake Park, earn a BOGO ice cream coupon! The whole family is invited

All participants are invited to wear their Halloween costumes for our spooky fun run followed by candy corn ice cream at the Little Man Factory!

WeCAN Running Club, Mondays, 6:30pm at Seedstock Brewery

The WeCAN Running Club has been going strong for 3 years now! Come out to run, jog or walk with your West Colfax neighbors every Monday!

PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE: Sloan’s Lake Park South Playground Update



The south playground and picnic facilities at Sloan’s Lake Park (off 17th Ave.) are set to be redesigned and constructed using Capital Improvement Project (CIP) dollars. Improvements to the adjacent parking and landscape may also be included, along with accessibility upgrades.
