Bringing Neighbors Together to Build Community

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

A huge THANK YOU to all of the volunteers who came out for the Neighborhood Clean-up Day on May 20 and the Colfax Marathon Water Station on May 21! It was a great weekend of community building in West Colfax. Look for our next Clean-Up Day this fall, and there are more WeCAN volunteer opportunities this summer.

Proposed Social Marijuana Consumption Rules and Regulations, Public Hearing June 13

In November 2016 Denver voters approved Initiative 300, granting businesses the ability to apply for a permit to allow for adult marijuana consumption in designated areas.
A draft of the proposed Social Consumption Rules and Regulations is now available on the Social Consumption Licensing website

There will be a public hearing on these rules and regulations at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13th in Room 4.G.2 of the Webb Building (201 W. Colfax Ave.).

Individuals can attend the public hearing to share feedback regarding these rules and regulations, and written comments can also be sent at any time prior to June 13th.
Fill out the form on the website or it can be emailed to marijuanainfo@denvergov.org.

WeCAN will be hosting a Panel Discussion on Ordinance 300 and Public Consumption  at our August 8 General Meeting. Stay tuned for more information and plan to attend if this is an issue important to you.
