Bush and Lucado visit ACU for ‘Voices of Hope’
Tonight, First Lady Laura Bush – recently named Texan of the Year by The Dallas Morning News – will be keynote speaker at Brown Library’s spring fundraiser. The event, Voices of Hope: An Evening with Mrs. Laura Bush, will be moderated by best-selling author Max Lucado (’77).

The Scholars Lab is pleased to support the new Digital Scholars Grant Program for ACU faculty. Faculty members can apply for funding for digital scholarship projects and development of expertise with digital tools for research. Applications are due April 8.

Join the Innovation Foundry, April 8-12, for Creative U, a fun-filled week of creative learning and activities. Visit the Learning Studio for free professional headshots. Visit the Maker Lab to design and create custom coasters and vinyl stickers. Join in a panel session to learn about Adobe and other creative tools. Pop in on MakerFest to see view tool demonstrations and make a project.

Makers showcase creativity on April 11
Join us for Maker Fest from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 11 in the Atrium and Maker Lab, located on the second floor of the library. Admission is free and includes many make-and-take activities, tool demonstrations and free refreshments.

Dr. Alden Bass presents Reviving the Ancient Church

Please join us for a CHARIS lecture featuring Dr. Alden Bass, assistant professor of Bible at Oklahoma Christian University, from 4-5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, in the Chapel on the Hill in the Onstead-Packer Biblical Studies Building. Bass will explore the topic, “Reviving the Ancient Church: Intentional Community and the Missional Future of Restorationist Churches.”

Library to extend hours beginning April 7
|

With financial support from the Office of Student Life and the Student Government Association, the Brown Library is beginning a one-year pilot program to extend library hours from midnight until 2 a.m. Sunday through Thursday evenings during the spring and fall semesters. Library staff are working with SGA to measure success of the pilot for possible continuation beyond the next school year. The new extended hours will begin Sunday, April 7, and continue through finals week, recommencing in the Fall 2019 semester.
