Tours and Baby Goat Experiences

The baby goats are getting bigger, but you can still schedule Farm Tours and Baby Goat Experiences.  During the farm tour, you get to visit all our buildings and see what we do.  You'll also see the goat barns and meet the goats for a few minutes.

Many people choose to follow their Farm Tour with a Baby Goat Experience where you can spend 25 minutes in the baby goat pen surrounded by baby goats.
Please schedule your tour and experience before you get to the farm - if it's not scheduled, we can't guarantee that we'll have a tour guide available, and we want to make sure you can see the goats!

If you're unable to visit us in Scottsburg, Indiana, you can follow us on our Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook for all the baby goat pictures your heart could desire! We use hashtag #gmskids to chronicle our kidding season each year.  We also update our Kidding Schedule page with the record of the births.

Farm Hours

With the arrival of Daylight Savings time, the Farm Store and Sweet Shop will now have extended evening hours on Fridays and Saturdays.

Store hours are as follows:
Monday - Thursday 8am to 5pm
Friday - Saturday 8am to 7pm
Closed Sundays

Sweet Shop

If you haven't been to the farm in a while, in addition to the Farm Store, we now have a Sweet Shop as well!

We have a new parking lot so you can pull up to either the Farm Store or the Sweet Shop.

The Sweet Shop contains all our candies such as caramel, fudge, toffee, and chocolates. We also have baked goods such as cookies, cupcakes, and dipped pretzels and marshmallows.

There is also milk, chocolate milk, and drinkable yogurt.

And don't forget all of our goat milk cheeses.

Goat Cheeses

And gelato!

Goat Milk Gelato

We also have picnic tables where you can enjoy your sweets while you watch the goats.

So whether you're local, or just passing through, check out the Sweet Shop, and say hello to the goats (and us).

Kidding Season

Kidding season is almost over! We've had 138 baby goats born so far.  It has been a slight buck year with 64 doelings and 74 bucklings.  There are still 6 pregnant goats remaining.

If you're interested in coming out to the farm to see them, make sure you schedule a Farm Tour or Baby Goat ExperienceWe'd love to see you, and so would the babies!

And as always, follow us on our Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook for all the baby goat pictures your heart could desire!

Facebook Live

This year we tried to capture all of our births on Facebook Live.  We didn't manage to get them all, but we got quite a few!!  You can go back and watch them if you wish on our Facebook page.

Baby Goat Videos

Because of all the time spent on Facebook Live videos, we haven't captured a lot of other video.  But we still have all the videos we took of the baby goats last year. You can find them on our YouTube channel as well.  They're all about 1 minute or less, so the length is short, but the cuteness factor is huge.

Homestead Happenings

The farm kept us very busy during the month of March!  There were new baby goats born...

The garden started to produce again...

The chickens got their new (and improved) fencing for their outdoor runs...

We got a new male baby bunny named Shamrock...

And lots of new chicks...

We installed a new feeder so people could feed barley to the Nigerian Dwarf goats...

And we worked on cleaning the outside of the buildings...

As well as adding new signs all over the farm...

Jim and PJ even managed to get off the farm so PJ could speak up in Indianapolis...

But mostly we stayed on the farm and enjoyed all the farm work that Spring brings!
As always, we thank you so much for all of your support of our family and our business!

Happy Easter!

The Jonas Family

Jim, PJ, Brett, Colter, Emery, Fletcher, Greyden, Hewitt, Indigo, and Jade
