Goat Milk Stuff
Thanks for taking the time to keep up with Goat Milk Stuff!  The newsletter special for this month is $10 Valentine's Day packs (details are at the end of the newsletter).

I've got a lot new for you this February…

Limited Edition Soaps

The limited edition soap scents for this month are Dessert TrayLilac, Cucumber Melon, and Dragon Blood.

I know that everybody has missed the Lilac soap (but not as much as Indigo - it's her favorite).  Our lilac supplier discontinued it and we've spent about 9 months searching for a replacement.  We've tried over a dozen different Lilac scents and finally found one that works well in our goat milk soap and smells like real lilacs.  Hope you love it as much as we do!

When we made Cucumber Melon last summer, it sold out in 6 days!  We'd never had a limited edition sell out so quickly and so we decided to make a batch for those of you who didn't get any.  We'll still make it again this upcoming summer as well.

Liquid Soap Trials

We're using up some old bottles and have a limited run of 4 oz liquid soap trials available for those of you who have wanted to try the liquid soap, but not been ready to commit to a refill bottle.  You will still need a foamer bottle to dispense the liquid soap.  These smaller trial sizes are marked down 20% and only available while supplies last.

Buy 9, Get 1 Free

Last month we tested "buy 9 purity, get 1 free".  It was very successful and so we are rolling it out to all of our scents.  It will now be a regular category on the website (under "Soaps").

Please be aware that this discount is for 10 of the same scented soaps.  You can't buy 10 soaps of different scents and receive this discount.

Hoodies and Sweatshirts

We have a limited number of hoodies and sweatshirts with the Goat Milk Stuff logo available in both child and adult sizes.  These are only available while supplies last.

Valentine's Day Shipping

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!  Our chocolate soap is a favorite Valentine's day gift as is our Valentine's Day Gift Packs.  Orders placed by midnight on Monday 2/9/15 are guaranteed to ship out on by Tuesday 2/10/15.  If you pay at least $6.50 in shipping, your order will ship priority mail and if the post office does its part, your order will arrive by 2/13/15.

New Website Reviews

We have a new customer review "add-on" to our website.  With this new system you can:
  • rate an item with stars in addition to writing your review
  • state whether a review is helpful or not (most helpful ones go to the top)
  • leave a review whether or not you are logged in (with the previous system you had to be logged in which was frustrating)
The only issue with this new system is that because it defaults to a 5 star review, it made all the existing reviews on the website 5 stars.  We have been working our way through the system to try to locate any "non 5 star" reviews so they can be corrected.  But there are hundreds and hundreds of reviews on the website.  If you wrote any reviews in the past and you do not want them to be 5 stars, please let us know and I can adjust it for you.

As always, we appreciate you leaving feedback and rating the items.  Not only does it provide social proof that our stuff works well, but I regularly hear from people that it helped them to decide what to purchase.  Let me know what you think about the new review system if you get a chance.

New Building

We are super excited to announce that our plans for a new building have been approved and "we" have broken ground and started building.  The new building will contain a certified kitchen!  Our plans are to start selling our goat milk caramels, cajeta, and fudge online first with the ultimate goal of being able to sell our goat milk cheese.  When I named the business "Goat Milk Stuff" it was always my goal to expand into food products.  I will keep you up to date on the progress as construction progresses!

Food Survey

We want to make sure that we use the new building to provide you with the food items that you want.  Please take a moment and fill out this survey.  It is very short and just asks whether you would purchase individual goat milk food products (e.g. caramel candy, caramel sauce, fudge, fudge sauce, cheese, powdered milk, powdered whey) if we make them available.  There is also a spot to let us know if there is another food product you would like to see us offer.  We really appreciate you taking the time to give us the feedback.  Taking a moment to fill out the survey will really help us to offer the items that you want!

The Goat Milk Stuff Blog

Our blog has a completely new look and layout.  We love it here because it makes sharing what goes on at Goat Milk Stuff a lot easier - if you would like to see some photos of our lives and hear some of what gets said around here, please check the blog out!

We have a blog series where we answer some of the questions we are frequently asked. You can enjoy reading our responses and also ask a question of your own.  Here are a few questions from this month:
Parody Video

Last month we released our second parody video.   The boys did a great job on it and we're super proud of them.  Thanks to all of you who watched it and shared it.  They were super excited that their video has "way more" views than Brett's parody video.

And yes, we are currently working on a follow-up parody video.  I can't give any hints other than that the song was written in 1975, but made popular in 1982 by a different band. The parody also involves goats (of course!)  We're have a blast working on it and hope everyone is looking forward to it!

Hang 10

Learn more about our family and our lives through our Hang 10 video series (we call it "Hang 10" because there are 10 of us).  They are released on a weekly basis on Wednesdays on our YouTube channel

Homestead Happenings

January is always a time of rest for the Jonas family.  We have finished up the busy holiday Christmas shopping season and have stopped milking the goats in preparation for kidding season.  Our annual Christmas present from Grandma and Poppy (who both work at Disney World) is usually a trip to Disney World.  But this year, they did something different - they took us on a cruise to the Caribbean.

We started in New Orleans where we were interviewed by Sheba Turk from "The 504".

You can watch the interview with PJ and Jim online at this link.  The children were also interviewed and you can watch them here (they did a great job despite being nervous!).

Then we were interviewed by "Wild Bill" (the kids kept calling him Buffalo Bill LOL) for a news segment on "News with a Twist".

You can watch that interview here:

Then we had some time to explore the French Quarter of New Orleans, view the waterfront, eat beignets, and shop:

Then it was time to board The Serenade of the Seas (Royal Caribbean).

While on the ship we enjoyed the pool...

Played miniature golf...

Looked out at the waves...

Entered the belly flop contest...

Climbed the rock wall...

and enjoyed the shows and people!

We were able to take 3 land tours that were amazing.  In Jamaica, the minimum age to swim with the dolphins was 8.  But Grandma spent hours on the phone and got a special waiver so Jade (7) was able to join the family!

In Grand Cayman we were able to swim with the stingrays.  Some of us were a little creeped out by the stingrays and MUCH preferred the dolphins. LOL
And in Cozumel, we were able to snorkel!

Overall, it was an INCREDIBLE vacation.  This was the first time any of us (except Grandma and Poppy) had been on a cruise and I was very impressed with how well all the children did.  Royal Caribbean did a wonderful job and the people we met (Max, Catalino, Rocky, Emmanuela, and everyone else!) were all amazing!

On a side note, if you've ever thought about a cruise, Royal Caribbean is currently running a special Buy 1 ticket, get 1 half price special (don't know how long it will last).  That made a big difference in helping our family afford the vacation.

Coming back from vacation, we're now all geared up for kidding season!  We had a rough start this year with the loss of Ivy and her triplets (Brett is working on a blog post about it, but can only write a little at a time because it's still too fresh and raw).

But Fashion delivered triplet girls (though only two survived).  You can read Fallen, Felicity, and Fickle's birth story (and see more photos) on the blog.

Fantasmic was next and also gave us triplets - Jamaica, Jemima, and Jiminy.  (2 girls and a boy)

Despite the occasional heartbreak, we still LOVE kidding season around here.

We bred 34 goats this year.  They may not all be pregnant, but that's still going to be a LOT of babies.  If you've ever thought about coming for a farm tour, March and April when the babies are here are the best times of the year!
Newsletter Special

In honor of Valentine's Day, we have a special Valentine's gift pack that includes a bar of chocolate goat milk soap, a chocolate lotion stick, and a chocolate lip balm.  They are packaged in a red organza bag.

These packs are only available to our newsletter subscribers.  Instead of being $18, the February newsletter special is $10 Valentine's Day Packs with a minimum purchase of $30 or more (not counting shipping).  You may purchase a maximum of 10 of them.  You do not need a coupon code to purchase them, to receive them, you must click one of the links below and add the packs to your cart.

$10 Valentine's Day Packs (if you are already logged in to your GMS account)
$10 Valentine's Day Packs (if you are not yet registered or logged in to your GMS account)

Please be aware that these are only available while supplies last.  Because they are limited edition scents, once they are gone they will no longer be available.  We reserve the right to change scents and price once all of the chocolate has sold out.

The contents are very similar to a Valentine's Day Gift Box that we promoted 4 years ago.  Of course, some things have changed, but nothing quite as much as Fletcher and Jade!

Another video from 4 years ago that seems particularly appropriate this February 1st is our Soaper Bowl Video.  Even though the contest explained at the end is no longer running, we still think it's a lot of fun to watch!

We thank you so much for all of your support of our family and our business!

The Jonas Family
Jim, PJ, Brett, Colter, Emery, Fletcher, Greyden, Hewitt, Indigo, and Jade
