What Can You Do with an APSIA Degree?
Alumnus Highlight: Pierre Funderburk
Pierre Funderburk graduated in 2017 from Florida International University’s Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs with a Master of Arts in Global AffairsPierre is currently an Anti-Money Laundering Analyst with USAA Bank focusing on fraud prevention and compliance.

Pierre’s interest (and eventual career) in anti-money laundering was sparked in the Global Affairs program while he was partnered with Raymond James Financial Services and U.S. Special Operations Command on a capstone research project related to money laundering in social media and online gaming. Pierre’s research was ultimately published in an academic journal (co-authored with his student partner and faculty supervisor). In addition, Pierre was offered a job with Raymond James Financial Services right after graduation before transitioning to the position he currently holds.

Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs at Florida International University

APSIA is excited to announce our newest member school, The Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs at Florida International University! 

The Green School offers graduate and undergraduate degrees as well as certificates that encompass a variety of fields and geographic regions. In addition, the School offers a variety of joint and combined degree programs. The Master of Arts in Global Affairs is the Green School’s flagship program. This two-year graduate program offers pragmatic skills combined with theoretical rigor to understand the complex global problems confronting the world today.
