Some say that the true seeing is within, but we say the true SEAing is at JCP Gallery, 51 – 57 Cubitt St, Cremorne. At Opening Night, we served chocolate seashells, golden cheese puffs and a glorious collection of photographs inspired by the sea, beach and coastal life. 'From the SEA' runs until May 8th and we strongly advise you to pop in for a lookSEA before it ends. Massive thanks must go to our very own Edita Knowler for taking so many snaps of the sparkling crowd and to Clare Plueckhahn, Daniel Boud, Emma Phillips, Hayley Sparks, James Newman, Jesse Marlow, Lara Jade, Nick Turpin, Paul Torcello and Phil Toledano for submerging us in their worlds.
Opening Night of ‘From the SEA’
Apr 14, 2014 10:34 am
SEA‘s first-ever show opened last Thursday and was a massive success. Chocolate SEAshells, cheese puffs like golden sand, and 10 photographs conjured up by SEA’s onshore and offshore roster. If you missed it, please know that the exhibition is open until May 8th at JCP Gallery, 51 – 57 Cubitt St, Cremorne. Go take a look or you’ll be SEAing red. Massive thanks to all who joined us for Opening Night and to our photographers for being so manifestly talented. Kudos to our very own Edita Knowler for these photos.
It’s officially the week to get on yer bike: SEA‘s offshore photographer Nick Turpin just shot these pics for Transport for London. He completed the suite of photographs to promote their Barclays Cycle Hire Scheme and everyone involved in the shoot cycled from site to site precariously balancing their clothes, props and lighting. Looks fun! And the self-effacing English sun even made an appearance! Nick wrote a personal post about the experience on his rather rad blog – read it here.
Andrew Fairclough created a new suite of house illustrations for BankWest which HOST Sydney animated into the colourful TV commercial below. Andrew’s images will also be used across print and digital media to promote the bank’s Complete Home Loan Package. Frankly, we think Andrew’s the Complete Package. Never mind yer mortgage.
And that's your lot for this week. Parting is such sweet sorrow that I shall say goodbye til it be morrow,
