All we want for Christmas is to make you feel so warm and fuzzy that you're unlikely to ever feel lonely or taciturn again. It's been an amazing year for us. New website! New partnerships! New artists! New office! Not to mention all the lashings of glitter and jollity! This will be the last Peter-Peter until January so get stuck straight into all this goodness: Daniel Boud shot Aussie artist Ken Done in Sydney, Lilly Piri illustrated a Walker Books title about magic, witches and things that transmogrify in the night, Tim Molloy released 'Mr Unpronouncable', Neryl Walker illustrated the Chase Gift List from Chatswood Chase and Georgia Perry aka GPez gave an interview to Three Thousand. Now, while we would like to hit upon the narrative equivalent of a Häagen-Dazs ice cream bar to say thank you, we're too gooey and grateful to be articulate. We love you. Stay safe. See you in 2 weeks, by which time we expect you will have grown a rather fetching goatlet, and we will found the solution to last Sunday's crossword puzzle. Love always - jw.
Did we mention that we moved into a new office? This completely-unadulterated-and-if-you-believe-that-I-have-a-car-to-sell-you photo is the work of SEA's photographer Paul Torcello and CGI studio Toby & Pete. We swear, we look like this all the time. Fondest wishes to the fine folk at The Compound Interest. Looking forward to seeing you all at our new home soon.
Behind-the-scenes of the Jacky Winter Christmas card shoot

Um, we pretty much work in the coolest workplace ever. And yes, we know we tell you that all the time, but the proof is in the pudding… or in this case, the photo shoot. Genius camerawork by SEA‘s onshore shutterbug Paul Torcello and 3D illustration and retouching done by Toby & Pete. The moving team and the truck were helpfully provided by the handsome team at Man With A Van. And yes, we look like this every day. Can you spot the tiny Italian Greyhound? Merry Christmas everyone!
It’s that special time of year when you have a long and stressful list of people to buy Christmas gifts for — and quite possibly a hangover. Never fear! The Joy Agency in Sydney commissioned Neryl Walker to illustrate The Chase Gift List from Chatswood Chase. Neryl’s chic illustrations perfectly complement the comprehensive list, which covers everyone from the fashionista friend to the holiday host; the super mum to the fuss-free dad; the young one/s to the foodie of the family. That’s a lot of people! Enough to induce a holiday-inspired hangover…
The lovely Lilly Piri recently illustrated her very first YA book for Walker Books Australia. Titled ‘Creatures of Magic’ and written by Maree Fenton-Smith, the book contains 14 beautifully minimalist black-and-white illustrations. Lilly also drew the old-fashioned book cover and undoubtedly learnt all sorts of magical secrets about black cats and witches. What, don’t you know that ‘Creatures of Magic’ is the preferred name for modern witches?
SEA photographer Daniel Boud recently shot one of Australia’s brightest artists, Ken Done, at his studio base in Sydney. The pictures show Ken in his element – surrounded by paint, easels and vivid dreams of the harbour rendered on canvas. Is there anything that Dan Boud can’t do?
