DON'T BLINK.

Blink and you're dead. They are faster and deadlier than you can believe. Don't turn your back. Don't look away. And, whatever you do, don't blink! Not only will you risk upsetting the Lonely Assassins, you'll miss seeing creative things with your peepers. Now, Steph Hughes may not have invented a timey-wimey machine for Doctor Who, but she has just illustrated a bunch of 'dream machines' for a Bosch competition. Fleur Harris has been busily collaborating with Lara 'where-the-bloody-hell-are-ya' Bingle on her new swimwear collection, and Forge & Morrow have tricked us into thinking we're in Paris, Texas with CGI artistry. Meanwhile, Diego Patiño has completed even more seminal illustrations of rock musicians for Rolling Stone Australia. Speaking of which, you can't kill a stone but often a stone can kill you in the blink of an eye. Eep! Love always - jw.

Gary Clark has never looked better. Check out Diego Patiño's rad illustrations for the 'Influences' section of Rolling Stone Australia! Oh hi, David Guetta, Dallas Green, Justin Hawkins, Tex Perkins, Romy Madley-Croft, Rob Thomas, Angus Stone, Nikki Sixx, Alex Ebert, Chino Moreno, M. Ward and Moby ...

Diego Patiño for Rolling Stone Australia

Nov 25, 2013 01:32 pm

For the last couple of years, Diego Patiño has contributed a monthly illustration to Rolling Stone Australia. These illustrations run alongside the ‘Influences’ section in which well-known musicians cite their favourite albums and describe how they’ve inspired them. These are just a few of the many illustrations that Diego has completed under the art direction of Cameron Emerson-Elliott – oh hi, David Guetta, Gary Clark, Dallas Green, Justin Hawkins, Tex Perkins, Romy Madley-Croft, Rob Thomas, Angus Stone, Nikki Sixx, Alex Ebert, Chino Moreno, M. Ward and Moby …

Forge & Morrow for Hertz Velocity

Nov 22, 2013 08:36 pm

Forge & Morrow created this ‘Paris, Texas’ sign using CGI for a Hertz Velocity ad in Virgin Velocity Magazine. Doesn’t it make you think of that distant 1984 American drama film directed by Wim Wenders and starring Harry Dean Stanton? No? Props to the kickass team at Limehouse Creative for their fine retouching work and to the agents at DDB Melbourne for bringing everyone together.

Fleur Harris for Lara Bingle Swimwear

Nov 20, 2013 03:27 pm

Fleur Harris recently collaborated with Lara Bingle on her smokin’ new swimwear line for Cotton On Body. The range of one-pieces and bikinis was launched at the start of November and garnered a huge amount of press – in fact, it’s almost internationally sold out. Fleur was delighted to help Lara bring her creative vision to life and Australia’s sweetheart even modeled her collection in this month’s Cosmopolitan and Sunday Style. Check out the prints – and read Fleur’s sweet blog about working with Lara here.

Steph Hughes for Bosch

Nov 19, 2013 12:55 pm

If you’ve ever dreamed about a multi-tasking alarm clock that will make coffee and tie your shoelaces for you, or hankered for a vending machine that pipes out hot creamy mashed potatoes, then Steph Hughes and Bosch may be two steps ahead of you. Our Brunswick-based Hatchling was recently commissioned to illustrate the seven winning ideas for Bosch’s ‘Dream Machine’ competition. The company set up the competition on their Facebook page then invited fans to submit 25 words or less describing their imaginary ‘Dream Machines’. Each entry went into the running to win a daily prize of a Bosch PMF 190 Emultifunction tool set and each of Steph’s illustrations were presented as Facebook cover photos. A picture is worth a thousand words, so we’ll let these images speak for themselves, while we pine hopelessly for a ‘physical’ search engine (we constantly lose stuff).
