So, we're hiring. How does that make you feel? It makes us feel pretty damn pumped. See below for more details. Then have a squiz at the stunning photos Hayley Sparks took of her kids on their roadtrip around America for her latest body of work. See if you can pick the classic novels out of the thirteen illustrations created by Andrew Joyner, Chris Nielsen, Clemens Habicht, Diego Patino, Edwina White, Greedy Hen,Guy Shield, Heath Killen, Ross Murray, Soft Science, Travis Price, Vaughan Flanagan and We Buy Your Kids. Marvel at the latest work from the prince of insanely detailed drawings. And if you're having trouble remembering what day of the week it is, buy an Oslo Davis Calendar for five measly bucks. Love always - jw.
Do you think you belong in this scene? Well, dreams can come true, because we have two highly sought after producer positions available.* Both positions offer the opportunity to work with some of the most forward-thinking creatives, businesses and brands in the applied arts. You'll find all the info you need to apply right here. Make haste and repent nothing. On another note, our dear friends at The Compound Interest have two spaces to rent. They're lovely folk and the rent is incredibly reasonable. Find out more about that here.
*Any resemblance between the above scene and the view outside our office can and will be rendered purely coincidental.
Wanna work at JWHQ?
Jan 20, 2014 03:16 pm
If your mild curiosity about what it must be like to work at JWHQ has turned into a itchy obsession (you know you can get a cream for that?), we are delighted to reveal that we are hiring not one but two talented producers to work across the primary areas of our agency. Juggling illustration, animation and special projects like pro seals at the zoo, the two successful applicants will both be offered full-time positions commencing in early February. We must stress that this is primarily a production position and that, in order to succeed, your skills and experience should be surpassed only by your fundamental dedication to a career in commercial creative management. And please, no seals with clever human costumes need apply. Fool us once, shame on you. Fool us twice, forget about the kipper.
Who else would you get to illustrate two posters for the New York Subway system but James Gulliver Hancock? Designed for their Art for Transit program, one poster explores the mixed-up sense of scale that New York’s planning creates, while the other carefully documents all the stuff on the subway…
Last year, SEA photographer Hayley Sparks took a three month road trip across America with her young family. She created a new body of work which documents her kids’ journey on the road. We’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
