Folks, we made it. The end of another year.
Sure I could whip up another semi-humorous rant around my aging body and mind. I have some very interesting comments to make with regards the pore sizes on my nose AND tennis elbow, but you'll just have to stick around to 2020 to get that delicious content.
Also it's way too hot at the moment to be funny, so instead, I want to reminisce about the the past year and some of the great things we've done. This is a place of business after all, so let's smear some Vaseline over our eyeballs to get that hazy nostalgic lens effect, put 'April Come She Will' on repeat, and take a look back and remember some of the good times we had...
In January we launched Flutterscopes. Yes we got a bit busy but don't worry, the rest of the signs are indeed coming in 2020!
In February we hosted Emily Cohen for Creative Mornings and some other workshops at Lamington Drive.
In March we launched Corvid which is going strong to this day with some huge plans for upgrades in 2020. We also released our first VR Experience featuring new works created in Tilt Brush and Blocks.
April saw the drop of our newest swag, including this gem of a promo which remains my favourite thing we’ve ever done.
It was a pretty busy month in April, as we also unleashed Use It Or Lose It as well, our campaign for licensing fees.
We said a sad farewell to Lara and Mika in May, and also welcomed some new faces to the team. We also released our Flutter Folks!
In June, our little Puzzle empire broke the second dimension with our first 3D puzzle, 540 Colours Sphere by JW artist Clemens Habicht!
In July we welcomed and worked alongside our 2019 Lamington Drive Residents in Melbourne.
It was heads down all of August as we prepared for the launch of our new website and seasonal model, which was really just an excuse for us getting to wear a bodycam and record what we do on an average day at Jacky Winter.
In September we gave life to a long-running inside joke with Obey Gantt, and also marched together as a team during the Global Climate Strikes..
In October we travelled to Singapore for our first marketing tour of Asia. We also posted probably my favourite commission of 2019 which nobody would have seen because algorithm something something.
November saw the ONE HUNDRETH episode of Jacky Winter Gives You The Business posted. Who knew that we could talk that long about stuff.
And that takes us to December, where we welcomed our NY crew to Australia and pretended to be an Ice Hockey team., because well, we could.
So there you have it! That's not even counting the ten other amazing shows at Lamington Drive, the nine residencies at Jacky Winter Gardens, two burglaries, 70-80 bags of pretzels, dozens of Ubers, hundreds of thousands of slacks and emails, hundreds of commissions, and FIVVVVE GOLDEN RINGGGGS.
Not a bad run, hey?
See you in a few weeks. Be kind to yourselves and one another.
