Hello CSA Members and Friends of Ridgeland Harvest

There is still time signup for the 2016 CSA season.  We have  been diligently working to ensure another great season of eating for you.

Where are the April showers to bring us May flowers?  It's been a hot, dry April reminiscent of 2012.  While the weather creates some anxiety, we have to keep up on our main work of spring planting that is in full swing.  And with rain in the forecast we are hopeful that we won't have to start irrigating so early in the growing season.

We fired up the greenhouse in February, seeding our onions, celeriac and leeks - which were transplanted into the fields last week!  From February until mid-June we are seeding something in the greenhouse so we can bring you a consistently diverse box of produce for 5 months.

In March our peppers, eggplants, herbs and early brassica crops including brussels sprouts and storage cabbage were seeded - those crops are transplanted into the field soon. April is now the busy planting month with May bringing on the weeds as well as the flowers on the strawberries..  and June will begin the harvest and delivery of produce to you!

We are still accepting CSA members.
