March 2012 Newsletter

Greetings BD-4 Enthusiasts!

New Addition
We are pleased to announce that Tim Becker has joined our family! Tim is a graduate in Aeronautical Engineering from Kent State University. Tim's first assignment has been to check and finalize the new BD-4C assembly drawings. Hopefully as he gets more familiar with the BD-4C that we are building in our shop; he will be at the point where he can answer any questions you may have regarding the construction process.

Assembly Drawings
These drawings have taken a lot longer than I have planned! However we are finished with the Fuselage and Wing sections of it. We are now working on the Landing Gear portion. When you see this concept I came up with, which is very simple for the first time builder, I think you will agree that the wait was worth it! I have shown the assembly drawings to some other people heavily involved in the aviation business, one of them commented that this is by far the simplest and easiest to read drawings he has ever seen! There is templates included to fabricate some of the parts etc. etc. I think the novice / first time builder will feel extremely comfortable with the challenge.

Sun-N-Fun 2012
We will be down at Sun-N-Fun this year again! Obviously depending on the weather we should be there on Tuesday March 27th-Friday March 30th with BD-4C. We will be in Booth #N-32, sharing it with LoPresti. Again we will offer a 10% discount on kits and individual packages and some accessories. However the following rules apply: You can order anytime between Tuesday March 27th and Sunday April 1st. If it is past April 1st you will not be able to take advantage of the 10% discount. The orders can be placed at the office or at the show. You do not have to be at the show to place the order.

Website Revisions
One of our newest BD-4C customers is Art Zemon. Art's company is going to be assisting us in the redesigning our website. Hopefully in the next week or so we can gather all the information and pictures we need, so when we shut it down we can get it back and running very quickly. We will be having a new section where you can order weldments that you might need. There will also be a section to order individual parts. There will also be some more history on the other aircraft's we have designed. I can tell you this, it is not Art's fault that we haven't got it done yet!!!!
