Umpqua Bank Supports Budding Writers and Artists

Umpqua Bank helped teenage writers and artists express their creativity through original drawings, photography, poetry and short stories in Pierce County Library System's annual Teen Writing and Art Contest - Our Own Expressions. Between Jan. 24 and March 4, students submitted nearly 1,000 entries. Read more »

Fife Library Services

Fife residents have access to free services from Pierce County Library System. Take free computer classes, and check out books, CDs, DVDs and more. In late fall 2011 the first Fife Pierce County Library will open at 6622 20th Street E. The 6,000 square foot library will offer full services six days a week. Read more »

Library Snapshot Day

Pierce County Library System joined libraries throughout the state participating in Library Snapshot Day on Tuesday, April 12. Washington Library Association invited the Library to participate as a way to advocate for and demonstrate the importance of libraries. During the day, a total of 9,158 people visited Pierce County Libraries and checked out 27,410 books, CDs, DVDs and other items. Read more »
