Send Hunger Packing
Seneca Babcock Community Center
Monday, March 30th
6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Did you know that more than 5,000 people in Erie County suffer from homelessness each year? How about the fact that over 100,000 Western New Yorkers turn to food pantries and other similar organizations for food assistance?
Join B Team Buffalo as we prepare Ziploc bags with non-perishable food items that can be given to individuals that are part of this under-served population. We need as many hands as we can get to mass-produce these mini, easy-to-distribute bags. Last year we were able to distribute over 500 bags to Friends of Night People and the Seneca Babcock Community Center. We hope to double that number this year!
A local organization that works directly with the homeless will give a brief presentation about this important cause. These bags will be distributed to a number of different organizations who provide food assistance to our region.
Email johanna@bteambuffalo.com to sign up!

Red Jacket Riverfront Park Clean-Up
Saturday, April 25th
10:00am - 12:00pm
Celebrate Earth Day with us by cleaning up Red Jacket River Front Park on Saturday, April 25th. We are adopting Red Jacket Riverfront Park again for the 2015 Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper Spring Shoreline Sweep. This park is at the foot of Smith Street on the Buffalo River.
Last year, we revealed more natural beauty by removing 22 bags of garbage and 15 bags of recyclables from this park.
We invite you to come out with us and help beautify the park. There will be a volunteer appreciation party following the completion of the clean-up. To volunteer for this event, send an email to joanna@bteambuffalo.com.
