Hull Family Home & Farmstead Spring Work Day

B Team Buffalo volunteers can help to make a difference at this historic structure in Lancaster, NY. The vision for the future at the Hull Family Home & Farmstead is critically important to preserving the house and the stories of the family and the culture and events of the 19th century in Western New York.
Volunteers are needed for a Spring Work Day on April 23, 2016 from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm. Lunch will be provided. Some of the tasks may include:
- clearing small pieces of cement rubble from behind and around barn
- cutting tall weeds and small brush by barn
- sifting dirt under tarps for artifacts
- filling and seeding ruts in lawn
- grading dirt away from house
- removing wood to curb
- raking and garden maintenance

Unyts Bucket List Bash
Statler City, 107 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14202

5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Come celebrate life at the 5th annual Bucket List Bash! An evening filled with once-in-a-lifetime experiences benefiting Unyts, WNY's only organ, eye, tissue, and community blood center. Some featured stations include Face Your Fears, Let's Roll with the Queen City Roller Girls, and Look Into Your Future. Admission includes open bar, food, and live music by Party of Nine. You may visit www.unyts.org/blb16 for a sneak peak of this year's bucket list stations.
A few more volunteers are needed to assist with breakdown of the event, serving food, and helping run bucket list stations during the 7:00 - 9:00 pm shift. Volunteers can come early and enjoy the event for free prior to your volunteer shift!

Third Annual Send Hunger Packing was Our Biggest Yet!
Thank you to all of the volunteers who came out on a rainy Dyngus Day this past March 28th to help out with Send Hunger Packing! Over 400 small bags of trail mix were put together this year. In addition, volunteers helped to sort toiletries into boxes and packed bags of feminine hygiene products for homeless women. Three carloads were dropped off at the Harbor House Drop-In Center! You can see photos on our Facebook page. Feel free to tag yourself. Special thanks goes out to our sponsors and partners,Senator Timothy Kennedy, Target on Walden, BJ's Wholesale Club on Sheridan, United Way of Buffalo and Erie County, AmeriCorps Alums of Buffalo, and Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York for making this event so successful. The mission of the Hull Family Home & Farmstead is to interpret the lives of Western New York's early 19th Century settlers represented by the Warren Hull Family. They strive to maintain historical accuracy, seek to bring history alive, and enhance the visitor experience.
Volunteers are always needed for the following activities: Operations, Maintenance, Landscaping, Gardening, Painting, Restoration, Marketing, Collateral Development, PR & Advertising, Website Maintenance, Social Networking, and Photography.
