A peaceful place is all we need sometimes to collect our thoughts and relax. You can find calm in the weirdest places. When I was a little girl, I would visit my Grandmother in Brooklyn almost every weekend. She lived on the second floor of an apartment building and I loved her home. One of my favorite places was the bathroom. It was huge! She had beautiful tiny tile on the floor and a separate tub and shower. I would hang out in that bathroom all the time and just sing and dance. If I stood on the tub I would be able to see myself in the mirror above the sink, which I thought was awesome because I could watch myself sing.
I think back to those times and smile. Life was so simple then. This photo of a pink bathroom was taken a few years ago at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum. My fiance used to work there when I first met him over 3 years ago. He was giving me a tour of the mansion and I just fell in love. For some reason this one bathroom brought peace to my mind. Between the simplicity of the space and the vintage appeal, it was calming and pretty. I had to capture its beauty. It's not for sale in my Etsy shop but if you would like to purchase a print please contact me and I can have one made for you.
I thought I would share it with you all and hopefully bring some calm to your day as well.
