Bright white flowers bloom late May and June. Foliage is variegated, green with creamy white edges. Does not scorch in the hot sun. Fleshy red fruit in fall. Disease resistant. An understory tree for naturalized plantings, or small ornamental tree. Plant in moist acid soil-use Canadian peat. Best in afternoon shade.
