Or how to push your product forward while still providing educational value
Quick message from Alexandra: I've recently joined the Wynter team as a Growth Marketing Manager and I'm looking for product marketers to contribute to our blog with thought leadership posts or snippets [depending on availability]. If you or someone you know would love this opportunity, let me know. 🙏
Sticking to SEO best practices, educating your audience, and still putting your offer out there can be tough to manage at once.
So I stick to the perfect technique for mixing the three: combining product marketing elements into all posts.
The Ahrefs blog is a perfect example of this approach, with all of their topics being chosen so that their product is an “irreplaceable solution to the problem.”
Other big brands do this too. Here’s some inspiration of the various ways to incorporate a product or brand into your content:
Slack - a complete guide with tips on using the tool and its various integrations
Unbounce - creating all examples with your product [or referencing your offer, industry, and services within the screenshots and examples]
Typeform - provide tips on how people can use your tool but make sure they apply to the general product as well
Smartsheet - provide helpful templates while keeping readers with your brand
Hotjar - add in sections where your offer or brand is the VIP
PandaDoc - create handy libraries [and promote them independently]
Drift - start a new project where you have more room to shine some light on your brand
Slite - get your customers to share how you’ve helped them
Mailchimp - promote your resources instead [Mailchimp use this post to share their Style Guide]
